Preparing for your visit

Would you like to bring your pupils to the Museum?
Would you like to have a guided tour or put your own project together?

Here is some practical guidance to help you organize your class outing.

The Museum’s website will help you to
• become familiar with the route through the exhibition, the topics addressed, the vocabulary, etc.;
• find out about the ongoing activities and the exhibitions;
• review the educational resources when putting your project together.

Choose the type of visit that suits you best

Regardless of the type of visit you choose, you must make a reservation.

Your options

• A guided tour with our guides (max. 1.5 hours)
An active exploration of The Humanitarian Adventure (1 hour).
Followed by an opportunity to visit the exhibition independently (30 minutes).
• A guided tour + an activity in the Henry Dunant Area
(1 hour + 1 hour)
You can introduce or follow up the visit with an activity in this Area, with you in charge.
• An independent visit (max. 1.5 hours)
To tie in with your project, design a route of your own through the areas and the topics of your choice.
The group entrance fee for an independent visit includes the exhibition texts as an audio-guide.
• An independent visit + an activity in the Henry Dunant Area (2 hours)

• Plan the number of people required to accompany your activity.
• Your group booking is valid for one entire school class. However, to enhance the quality of your visit, it is advisable to divide the class into two separate groups.
• Make a sufficient number of photocopies of the documents that you want to work on with your pupils as they are not available as print-outs.
